Rodger,
Was the #30 used for snow plow pushing duty? The damage looks a bit odd to me. Whatever happened wasn't enough to crush the pilot, but was enough to apparently bend the heck out of the air line coming off the pilot.
Off the top of my head it looks like a snow plow broke apart, some of it went under the coupler, some of it went up and caught the air line/gland hand. The #30 was a powerful engine, it may have been one of thoe "Unstoppable Force meets Immovable Object" type things with a snowplow being the weakest link.
