Is there any record of when the 195 was last operated? I wonder if it was kept mainly as a parts source for the 190 and 192? I think if the engine were moved near the dock in its current sad condition (after journal polishing) with an explanatory sign that said "Would you donate a dollar to restore this WWII veteran locomotive?", you'd get enough money to hire people for the restoration. As Skagway has something like 700,000 visitors from cruise ships, making it visible should generate some cash. That's what we did with CVR 220 and we generated some good cash, even though visitors had already paid $20 to get into the museum.
My suggestion for missing parts is to try to make contact with persons in Greece, who might determine whether parts on the derelict postwar Vulcans there are compatable with the Baldwins.
