S/P EVERYTHING was harder back in the day. Just look at the section crews who had to HAND PUMP those hand cars for miles, THEN go to work. At the end of the day you had to find the energy to pump that beast home. Those boys were rough, tough, and buff, back in their day. (Probably why most of them died young). What you don't hear is how many stonemasons, and how long it took them to build that building, and I would assume that the two old locomotive boilers were already inside. Construction photos and and information on how it was accomplished would be most interesting to read about.
None the less it is an impressive job done by guys doing hard work because there wasn't any alternative 'in the day'.
