It appears that turntable picture was taken by the same person that took the other picture you mentioned. In looking at other pictures of 477 (I spent more time today researching that locomotive than I ever have!) at various different times it had a whistle with or without finial, and with or without sound shield, all in the later 30's. But so far that hasn't helped me pin down a date for the photograph in question, but it is an interesting study! Hopefully someone on here knows how to blow up the image of the herald in the picture I mentioned and post in on here for everyone to see.
