Interesting idea but the RR axle could have been moved
up there on a wagon for another use but I am not an
expert on RR routes that didn't make it. There was
early mining activity in the Cottonwood Pass area.

I found a link & pin coupler pocket in perfect condtion
on Silver Mountain miles away from NG activity at Cimarron
or Lake City sitting on the Tundra just like it fell off
a train.
