Originally the D&S had 4 K37s:493,497,498,499. 497 was the only k37 to operate on the D&S. they believed the engine was too big and was tearing up the track (possibly a mechanical problem later fixed by the C&T) so they traded it to the C&T for 482. Also the 499 was traded to the Royal Gorge park for 486 close to the same time. 482 was missing a lot of parts when she arrived and as 493 & 498 are all but striped I would assume they donated heavily to the cause with whatever parts are enter changeable.
There was also discussions on a previous K37 post as to whether or not 497 ever ran to Silverton or not. She did because I rode behind her. I believe pictures also surfaced with the engine setting on 12th st in Silverton.
