I looked in my "Diesel Locomotives: The First 50 Years" book with that info in mind and there on page 395 is a photo of USG 1203. I never noticed it there before. It doesn't look bad to go into service in Chama as emergency power and a switcher, but of course there's the cost of a new prime mover in there. Seems it would handle light rail well with 3 axles per truck. The caption in the book says it was originally built to fill an order for East Pakistan, but instead went to USG when it was finished.
