Unfortunately I don't have access to that work at this time. Also I was trying to look up the accident report on DOT.gov but that is acting up.
What I did find its that R. (Robert) E. Hurley was Michael's son. There was also a Harry Michael Hurley, another son, who was a fireman in 1910 when the family lived in Chama. The youngest Hurley is misssing from the 1920 seniority lists.
As I recall the conductor's name was Matt Pheney. There was a James Pheney, who was one of the Chili Line conductors in Jimmy's 1937 post. He was also the conductor on the Silverton mixed train in which J. (John). P. Connor was killed in an accident near Tacoma and his brother Jim was injured in the early 1920s.
Louis Johnson, No. 7 on the 1920 list, was killed in an almost instant replay of of the wreck several years later.
