I've always heard, and my (reprinted) 4th div TT #102(7/20/19), Roster #11 (1923) & 3rd Div TT #100 (3/28/20) would seem to confirm, that the change from numbers to names came in the mid-1920's, ca 1924-25. along with some shuffles of what was in which division in the late 20's (at least 2 rounds) before things settled down (for a while) on Pueblo, Alamosa, Grand Jct & Salt Lake.

For ex. (if I have the correct info) 3rd div became Gunnison div then was combined with most of 2nd div a year or two later to become Salida div which was then split with the 3' ga track going to Alamosa div and the 4' 8 & 1/2" going to the Grand Jct. div...
