Like I said Dick, I have not worked on for or about the C&TS with steam engines. I doubt that I will ever get that chance. I have direct hands on and project experience other places.
Duplex mud pumps are designed much like the running gear on a complex railroad engine. The same is true for stationery boilers, gas plants and compressors. I've hands on and put together a lot of heavy machinery. High pressure vessels and pumping equipment are a specialty. And yes, I have some experience with locomoties. I have intimate experience with operating and overhauling two phase flow equipment just like steam engines. Then there is pumping CO2 and nitrogen at high pressure, over 8,000 psi. Some of this as a project supervisor, some of it as an expert witness.
You may not like what I have to say. More than a few juries and national corporations understood my testimony. They did so well enough to make an intelligent decision that held up on appeal.
