Yes, as Rich Murray commented, you missed my point, but if you wish to pursue your point about notifying ticket holders in a timely manner I think you should also read and absorb postings by people like John Cole describing how the decision to cancel came about. It really was a close call.
But, I also have a bone to pick with you and others who feel they just have to get in their two cents by accusing the Friends of screwing up. I have three tickets for the charter and I don't remember asking you and others to speak up on my behalf. Why this compulsion to advocate for folks who havn't asked for your help? From what I've learned most all of the ticket holders are grown-ups and understand that best efforts were made to have the trip proceed as planned, but that the margin of error was just too tight and the risks too great.
BTW, if you helped back in 2002 to put 489 parts in a boxcar, how come so many parts and piping could not be found? (See other posts about the problems that resulted).
