The concentrates from the Idarado mill at Pandora were trucked by Rio Grande Motorways to a reload at Montrose. The story I heard was that in order to get Telluride Mines to agree to the abandonment of the Rio Grande Southern, the Rio Grande had to agree to haul the consentrates by truck to Montrose at rail rates. I'd imagine that Rio Grande Motorway was quite happy when the town of Telluride and the state of Colorado forced the shutdown of the Idarado.
