I have the same problem with mine, the right side comes out after around 1000 feet of running. Fortunetly, it seems to go back pretty easily.
As far as radii, all my engines, the largest of which are two Sunset K-27's, and a real piece of work PFM K-27 have no real trouble on 18 inch radius on mine. And, that's with a two percent grade, and five cars.
