Re: HOn3 question while waiting for the rain

A good rule of thumb is that a K-series in HOn3 is a mid size standard gauge engine. The bigger Radius the better. Most of the K's will take an 18" curve, but depending on the manufacture of it, it might not. A 20" Radius is a little bit better, and what I try to keep as an ABSLOUT minimum, and a 22" is even better. Remember that the tighter the radius the smoother the track should be, and it should not be on a grade. That will multiply the curve. Example; if you can pull 12 cars on a flat curve, and 12 cars on a grade, you might be able to only pull 7-8 of those cars on a curve with a grade.
Basicly, keep the Radius as big as you can.
