Earl,thats a good question.Most likely 318s whistle since the 318 hasn't run much since the big tear down at the museum.I've seen it on the 346.But then again it could have been on the 340.When I worked at knott's in the 70s the "40" had a single note iron bell,iron bowl
whistle.The whistle at the museum also had a "top"
and a ball finnial.We wanted to do that with the 80 and "8s" old whistle but I'm not a machinest
thats dads department and he was too busy to make a top and finnial but it's still in the works.
I knew of a gentleman when I was in Utah whos dad
was a machinest for the grande in Salt Lake who had onje of these tall 3 chimes.I don't even know if he is still alive,but never got to see it.
