It didn't run to Durban under it's own power and nor was it overhauled before shipping (both were rumours at the time). A dual gauge demonstration line would be nice but a trifle impractical as SA Loading gauge in somewhat in excess of the miniature UK SG version spinning smiley sticking its tongue out
