His point was that the D&S gets things done!!! Look back on the trade the C&TS and D&S did years ago. The D&S got a hulk with engine 482, and the C&TS got an operational 497. D&S rebuilt the 482. Which engines are running today???? 482 is in everyday service and 497 has not run for many years.
I think that is what he was referring to in his trade suggestion. I would like to see 483 run again on the C&TS, but I understand his suggestion of the trade cause it would not really change anything on the C&TS. They would have a different class engine(Running or not), and the 483 would otherwise be a rusting hulk in the Chama yard anyway. I am not suggesting one way or the other, but I do understand where he is going with his trade suggestion.
