Re the photo of NCNG #9 in Hawaii.

It appears that at least part of a D&RGW NG engine made it to Hawaii. I suspect that the tender is from NCNG #8 which was former D&RG #283. In later years #8 had the whaleback tender from NCO #14 (NCNG #9) and #9 appears to have had the tender from #8, at least in most of the pictures that I have seen of the NCNG in the late 1930's and early 1940's.

Jerry, please feel free to correct me if I am wrong in this assumption, but it does seem logical from all of the photos that I have seen.
