Many photos have been published like the one here saying that "#XX switching at Durango" when, in actuality, it was merely the rear end of a train backing out of Durango. All RGS trains backed into and out of Durango and the helper engine was normally on the rear end behind the caboose. Many photos like this one of the 41 backing out with the 0403 (note the marker lamps on the rear corners of the tender) were mislabled as "switching."
