RGS at Durango

I have a question about the smelter in Durango. Did the RGS have direct access to the smelter or did it haveto interchange to the D&RGW and then the D&RGW switcher deliver them. It would seem that if the D&RGW did it there would be a switching fee.
Also, when the Durango yard was dual guage did the dual guage serve the smelter? JP
