I am not an expert and I am sure there would be challenges involved, but there is a new printing technology called Print-on-Demand. The book is not printed until it is ordered.

Many of the books you purchase on Amazon are printed this way. I cannot speak to the quality of photographs that this process can print. One of the companies that provides this type of publishing is called CreateSpace (owned by Amazon).

It might be worth it to investigate that company and see if it would be possible to have them publish the book. There would still be the costs of preparing the files for printing, but no need to tie up a huge sum of money in inventory.

Just a thought.
