My biggist gripe is shown best by the recent over-focusing on the Lobato trestle. People are reintroducing the same solutions that have already been shot down (shoo-flys of immense proportions, culverts with immense fills). The bottom line is the C&TS needs 1.7 million dollars to have the funds to rebuild Lobato. Many like to discuss other options but need to focus on the next step - MONEY - fund raising. We have little effect on the ultimate solution - the C&TS management and the RR commission will take what they feel is the best and affordable solutions (short and long term).
I would like to hear more about the Hawaiian railroads histories. Same with Sumter valley and SPNG and the Maine two footers.
If gets tiring to hear the same dead horse being kicked.
Some long posts are by those who like to hear themselves talk. Others have lots of good information and I enjoy them.
This board is quite good but the quality of the posters has become a little Goat-like. Links to info on the Goat I do not appreciate. Many of those that I really like to hear have mostly dropped out (Jerry Day, John Bush, Fritz Klink, Earl Knoob, to name but a very few).
My two cents worth.
