I've been a member here for many years. I have, on at least a couple of occasions, supported it financially, although admittedly very modestly.
I rarely post, and I definitely don't read all the replies or even all the thread starters. But I enjoy coming here and checking in and following the news, both current and historical.
Speaking only for myself, I find that there's a bit of a dilemma. I would be happy to show more appreciation, for example, for Jerry's excellent historical information, Fritz's fascinating Silverton updates, John West's awesome photos, etc. And yet it seems to me to be a waste of other people's time if I simply write "Thanks!" or "That's really interesting!" or "Great pics!" If I feel I don't have anything to add to the discussion, I won't say anything.
Which is to say, Jerry, that you and others probably have a silent fan base out here who appreciate the time and effort you put into your posts.
Fritz, keep up the good work and best of luck. I'll be in Silverton in three weeks and look forward to seeing all your hard work first-hand.
Scott, I hope you'll reconsider and stick around, and even post from time to time.
We're a small enough community here. I hope it doesn't get any smaller.
