I agree with Craig, sometimes we need to step back and chill. Posting to a forum like this, you only see the words, you don't see the grins or winks (or furrowed brows) - the visual cues in a conversation that aid in placing those words in their proper context. Sometimes I think we take things too seriously, as well. Personally I like some of the alternatives to a situation like Lobato. These people are simply offering idle and imaginative speculation and don't deserve to be stomped on. They're just throwing ideas out there, for fun, this is a hobby for most of us. If the engineering ain't good, the engineers will know it, relax.
I like all kinds of topics, but the posts with a historical bent tend to be the most educational and intellectually rewarding. I mean, come on, this is all pretty cool schtuff we're talking about here. We've already (seemingly) lost a frequent poster who used the name of an early locomotive as a handle. He was often a bit abrasive, but usually offered up some pretty interesting historical information. Ya gotta take the good with the less than good.
So Festus, hang back, chill, and come back every once in a while. Your participation is appreciated.

PS. As a general rule of thumb, don't mess with the Jerrys, they're contributions would be sorely missed.
