From the looks of it, this coupler pictured is the same as the one under the traction I spoke about in the earlier post, it was built in the late 1800s. The long shaft the SVRy showed in their post has a large spring around it. I will try to get a pucture of the whole assy when they get it out of what is left of the car. By the way, the traction guys didnt know what it was.
