Well this is the problem with the internet, as one can take things
to mean different things or out of context. I think you are right that
before the time you mentioned they were only FOC&TS outings, and yes we had the rider boxcars since that was all that was available at the time with the two other trains in use.

I guess its a matter of taste. I think I might have had a photo contest and pick some good ones from the hundreds that might have been sent in. You never know what surprises might have shown up. Winners could have either been paid, or given comp tickets for trips, etc. Actually thats something they could make an annual event if they wanted to. Send us your best shots from the previous season, or something like that!!!
