In all the current images being posted I haven't seen any signs of last year's fire. I doubt the area could have greened up that fast after a fire.
In a very general sense, for someone who only visits the area every 15 years, where was the fire in relation to the right of way?
Was it closer to Durango and further from the Rockwood to Silverton section of the line?
Out of curiosity, is the forest thinning work thinning the density of the trees in the selected area or is more of creating a fire break along the right of way so a fire can't start or it can't "jump" the right of way and continue?
It's hard to figure things out from just pictures but they are truly appreciated.
Who would have thought a K-37 would be hauling revenue freight in 2020?
