Can't address the pass. It was closed the last time in the area.

But, a couple of years ago I had no trouble driving to the tunnel in a conpact car. I had to be slow and careful, and got lots of nasty looks from the guys on motorized mules and 4-all terrain vehicles. Its a really neat place. The worst part was going accross the palisades.

Aspens are going to be nice that time of the year.
