I recall hearing a few different versions of that. One important thing to remember is that she is enormous compared to their 2-4-0s...and their ownership change resulted in a different set of operating needs which didn't require a third locomotive.

Glen posted a short report on their trip to close the deal and she is definitely still disassembled. HRS bought her as-is.
