IIRC it was lettered "Durango & Silverton", not "Rio Grande", so it appears that history
was being made rather than re-enacted ...

It has been admitted by the person(s) responsible that the color was too light in 2005.
It had been too dark in 2003 or '04, and had gone black under the soot in just a couple
of days. The current Dark Olive Green Boiler Jacket ~~Enamel~~ Urethane is based on a
sample of the D&RGW's original paint. It is being applied to four coaches as well, and
will also be applied to C&TS #489 this coming season.
