Re: Boiler inspections

Jim, Until last year, the State of Oregon inspected our boilers. Then last year we were inspected by FRA (we had been under FRA for years, as we have three road crossings, but they were busy elsewhere) At any rate, BOTH our boilers have had recent UT,s, visual, hydro, etc. accomplished by our CMO, and FRA.
I enjoy being under FRA, as it gives us a good outline for regular wash-outs and inspections. (We have always washed our boilers usually every 25-35 service days, hydro'd yearly, and both of the boilers are in exceptionally sound condition.
The heisler was approved for 175 pounds, (the pop's are set at 150/155.
