There are plenty of fairly reasonably priced motels just a short drive (or long walk) from the downtown area. I never spend much nonsleeping time in the room and therefore chose according to price. Plenty of the motels have their own websites or are listed under area accommodations. Look for AAA and use a Google map to locate them, and you should do OK.
