Re: types of dual gauge switches

The installation of the tandem 3 way point is ongoing - here is yesterday morning's progress showing evidence of the morning frost. When I left all the rails were in place but nothing had been "nailed" down - todays task is to tie everything down! Still several rails to cut before everything fits and then it needs ballasting. Mike Bird, Mike Taylor and Bob Swift providing scale to the picture. The work was caused by the loco pit (located behind Mike and Bob being condemned so new pit has been built and new approach track is needed. Some of the ties are 20 feet long hard wood. Hopefully it'll be "sort of" completed by next weekend And my finger hurts after I dropped a check rail chair on it (insert swear words of choice here)
