It is interesting that W.I. Marsh was able to bump Henry Nissen when Nissen was at his away-from-home terminal. I remember seeing Oscar Caldwell on a Creede branch freight in one of the earlier posts. I imagine that running the big engines (a 3600 maybe) to La Veta would mean more money than a 2-8-0 standard gauge engine or any freight on the narrow gauge. Caldwell was No. 7 in the Alamosa engine service.
