wondering if anyone can help with this.
in rodger polleys excellent book, theres a digram of the mack yard from 1930,
this shows two gilsonite warehouses separated by a few hundred feet, one is next to the main line, the other a spur.
however, in the machines of iron DVD , there is a sequence showing a train leaving mack and passing one of these warehouses. the problem is, there also appears to be another warehouse directly behind the smaller one , so close that they can only be separated by one or two tracks.
after this there is another shot of the second warehouse , its design is the same as the first one and its clearly behind the first warehouse .
this shot shows the other warehouse near the DRG , peeking out form behind the boxcar on the right where it should be on the yard diagram.
does anyone have ANY info as to what this other building is , its dimensions and when it was erected ?( my thought would be another gilsonite warehouse as the design looks identical.
i don't expect anyone can help with a new yard diagram or other info but it would be interesting to see if others come to the same conclusion as i have .
