The sun tried to come out for our run-by west of Big Horn

... but by the time we got back to Phantom Curve things were getting pretty dark - which doesn't help when you're shooting slow color film.
The trees and rocks appear crisp, but the moving train is blurred

A short while later the drizzle turned to sleet, and the rider gon was soon almost abandoned. IIRC, Brad LaRose of the SLORRM, his son Jarrett and I foolishly endured the slushy snow - and tried to keep it from blowing through the door into the following boxcar-coach - but even we had given up by the time the train reached Cumbres
