Correct, on the sizes, We are building a c18, and a c17 in H scale (1:24th). An inch for us is .0416, still probably not enough to cry about. another detail Ive seen, the cylinders are 15x22 on the c16, but 16x22 on the other 3. Not enough to matter in that scale. Only thing that might be worth trying, Never measured the c16 boiler, but plans say 52", while the rest Im pretty sure are 54+/-, very small difference.
*Edit* Also, the c17s and c18s have the same length main rod. In my opinion, I believe the 315 got a left over c17 main rod when she broke her original, and also the shotgun stack could have come from a c17. There was one c17 that had a shotgun stack and round main rods, but I don't know dates as far as when 315 got them, and when this 17 would have been dismantled.
Which drawing has the boiler length, and what is it? This is one thing I don't have on any loco accept the 18.
