Another example of the valuation maps being somewhat off the mark is on the Silverton Branch for the switch at Tefft spur at 478.02. The spur extened out southwest away from the main line in the Ponderosa woods to the saw mill site built by Otto Mears to cut ties. It was about 1500' long but the valuation map showing the spur next to and within the property line of the railroad, even to the fact that it thereby showed the spur being over the river next to the Cascade bridge which is milepost 477.8.
