John:
As others have posted, the C&S roundhouse is a leftover from NG days with the pit filled in and some of the stalls removed.
I believe the LC&S wye is in the location of the NG original, as you know, the C&S essentially moved the rails apart on the existing ROW at the end of WWII.
Jerry Day did not mention it, but just north of the C&S roundhouse, the D&RGW Ibex line crossed the C&S. The interchange was south of the roundhouse, and north of the D&RGW structures in the photo.
This is a great image. My great grandmother lived just east of here in the 60s, and I recall visiting her and seeing the D&RGW freight house that is beyond the engine house/ car shop. The engine house was gone by the time I got there. The freight house has been moved south (west) of String Town, I believe. It is a long, rambling structure--kind of like the Silverton depot on steroids.
Your photo brings back the memory of coal fired stoves and a brisk wind.
