I was fortunate to have a fair amount of time with Bob Richardson (rode with him to the first C&TS rotary run), Dick Kindig, and Jack Thode. I would comment that I really envied them for all they had seen and photographed. All of them responded that they envied the early folks like Jukes, Wyman, Lathrop who saw the diamond stacks, link & pins, etc. They thought the D&RG was more interesting than the D&RGW at the end. But they still photographed it and we can all be grateful for that.
