I looked again at the map in
Trains Magazine and did find the Sumpter Valley/Oregon Lumber operation at Baker City is shown. Baker is shown with a little red tail coming southerly out of it. The line is too short to determine what symbology is being used -- maybe it is to represent the now abandoned dual gauge operation to the mill.
Of course, being a map of standard gauged ng lines (and current ng lines) the map does not show the full extent of the all the abandoned ng lines.
But, I think I caught an omission from the map. The SP once had a narrow gauge line from San Bernardino to Redlands in Southern California. The portion of it from Riverside Jct (late Bryn Mar) to Riverside became dual gauge and then standard only and now all gone.
