"Profanity is the desperate attempt of a feeble mind to express itself forcefully." - author unknown
(Sounds like Churchill to me.)

If someone makes a factual error - like my erroneous presumption that the K-36's were delivered by Baldwin with the green jackets customary at the time - then correct the error(s) by posting the facts. And, IMHO, clearly state that your opinions are opinions and, IIRC, that your possibly incomplete memories are memories and not necessarily the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

"All we want is the facts, ma'am - just the facts."
DUMM-da-dum-dum ... DUMM-da-dum-dum-DUUUMMMMMM!

* None of the above is meant to discourage good-natured joshing (especially when the target is an admitted curmudgeon), satire when satire is called for, or criticism of public figures who violate their constituents' trust.
