that goes someting like this: "Choose your enemies well when you act with your emotion, for it is like them you will come to resemble."
I think the president had it about right tonight when he spoke of our "quiet resolve". When the time comes for our response, as it surely will, let it be the effective, strategically planned response of clear minds and mature leadership rather than the wild swings of hot heads.
You wrote "THIS IS THE BEGINNING OF THE END FOR AMERICA". Perhaps you haven't lived long enough yet. That's been said a few times before. This country has survived an assault on Washington DC in 1812, an abomination called slavery which led us into a civil war, a war to end all wars, a depression, a second world war, a 40 year cold war with 50 megaton warheads targeting a 100+ American cities, 3 presidential assasinations, Watergate, and an ill-conceived war with noble intentions in Southeast Asia.
We'll get through this as well. But it will be with the support of steadfast friends such as the UK and any other country of good will that envisions a civilized world where innocents are not targeted for "higher" political aims. The only way we will not prevail is if we concede that moral ground. Then that truly would be as you say, the end of America.
