I thought so as well until I actually looked at the locomotive. I believe that the hole you see on the side is a cleanout port, but certainly not a feedwater port. The feedwater goes to a turret at the top, much like a K-36. The location for feedwater inlet is where my head is in the picture I posted in a previous message, or as a blue circle below a measurement 0.559" on the below diagram.

None-the-less, the previous measurements and my measurements did not show significant thin spots on the pressure section of the boiler. Yes we understand that our numbers did not include inner shell needlescaling. We just wanted to validate numbers to get an idea of future scope of work. If there's a joker that likes writing numbers on boilers with a marker, that's alright - we can reverify recorded measurements. It won't matter too much once a boiler shop gets it. They will do everything necessary to ensure it meets code. At TTCI in Pueblo, there's a large sign that reads, "One test is better than a thousand expert opinions". We tested to disspell opinion.
