Im guessing that when locomotives were scrapped the markers went with them? In some of the pictures in the book "Sunset on the RGS" (V2) there are pictures of RGS locos not long before they were scrapped with many parts missing but they still had there markers dangling from the smoke box by cords... I mean therwise there would be like a dozen or more pairs per surviving locomotive today right?

I wonder how much it would cost to get a pair of replica markers made for 20. drinking smiley
