You likely have a good point of discussion. Tipple versus bunker??? I was there at that time so do not know what was officially used as the correct term. Before this structure, there was a large wood platform which likely was really a bunker. Maybe the word carried over to this structure. But the present sturucture is definitely a coal tipple. The WP&Y used to have a large similar structure in Skagway which I believe was called a coal bunker. Does it have the bunker name if big enough for a railroad car to be enclosed and a tipple if it only holds the coal? This is worthy of everyone advice.
