One thing to consider about #14 is the fact that she was nearly completely destroyed when she was caught in an engine house fire when at camp at Hobart Estates in the early 1930's. I have photos of her during the fire itself and afterwards. Her oil bunker ignited and by the time it was all over her frame had bent to the point that her crankshaft was sitting flat on the ground.
In just a few short months the shop forces at Hobart Mills had her (and 2-truck #7 that was damaged in the same fire) completely rebuilt. The rebuild must have been a good one given the lengthy running career she has had in the 7 decades since the fire at Hobart Estates.
