Thank you to everybody who replied here...this answered the question for me. In a friendly vein, I will disagree with Chris about Shay 12 to the degree that she was the least liked of all 7 of West Sides 3T Shays, mostly account of her girder frame which did not do well on their very sharp curves. Had she been of larger size, she might have seen more duty with the 8, 9 and 10, but pictures of her actually hauling logs or empties, especially in color,are unusual. I have a few from the late John Anderson in work train service.
I do agree though, she looks great with the piston valves.
