From 1963-68, Sprouse was at La Jara; Fred Vernon at Antonito; Mel Trotter at Chama; Amos Cordova at Durango, Maurice Case at Aztec, and Dale Bewley at Farmington. Case had been at Aztec since 1915 when the new depot was built, and retired in 1967....52 years at the same agency! They said he was probably 85 at that time. He had worked at Chama before coming to Aztec. When he retired, a relief agent went there until the office was closed. Dale Bewley was the youngest of the lot, and had worked at Motorway before going to Farmington. If I'm not mistaken, Dulce and Ignacio closed in 1962. Amos Cordova should know more about these than anyone else around. Al Stevenson
