Thanks for bringing up the THA Heisler, I'd forgotten all about it. It is another steam locomotive conversion; albeit a very professionally done job. according to THA's website: [www.timberheritage.org]
it was converted from a 24-ton Heisler of 1927 using a Murphy diesel, which I've never heard of.
Although it doesn't show well in the picture I posted above, the Heisler diesel was a centercab while the THA's conversion looks more like a hood unit.
